Conference Overview

The public ministry of Jesus Christ was filled with healings. Blind eyes were opened. Cripples got up and walked. Deaf and mute people heard and spoke. Lepers were cleansed. Those with chronic and long term illness were instantly cured. The gospel record is clear – Jesus healed people. But the healing was not limited to Jesus alone. This ministry was fully shared by the apostles, then extended to 70 others and then given to the church to continue until His glorious return. Healing is at the heart of the gospel message. When the power of God through the Holy Spirit touches broken humanity there is joy, praise and thanksgiving. Healing is one of the most powerful means to let people know God does love them. Healing is practical and often opens the door for evangelism. And we believe God still heals today.

At this conference you will learn about the healing ministry. Specifically, we will address physical healing and learn about the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, prayers of agreement, calling down the Holy Spirit and what type of prayer is best (command, petition, intercession, etc). We will model healing so you can see how it can be done. Another area we will look at is emotional or “inner healing”, which looks at the many painful things that hurt the heart. How does Jesus “heal broken hearts” and free those who are captive and in bondage to fear, addiction, unforgiveness, anger, hatred, bitterness and the like? Inner Healing is just as powerful as physical healing and just as needed. You will learn the basics of inner healing and participate in a full practical exercise.

The key to all healing is to be able to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and bless what the Spirit is doing. We will go over specific instruction on the Word of Knowledge and how to discern what the Lord is doing during ministry time. None of us can heal – only God can; however, God has chosen to use us. He normally does not heal unless we are participating and cooperating with Him.

Each participant will receive a conference workbook with teaching notes, scriptures, practical instruction and worksheets. It is basically a training manual for healing and is a valuable and permanent part of the conference experience. If you are in the healing ministry at your church this will be an excellent opportunity for “continuing education”. If you are interested in learning more about the ministry of healing this will be a great place to begin.
